Ganz in der Nähe des berühmten Felsens der Aphrodite befindet sich in dem kleinen Dörfchen Kouklia eines der wichtigsten Heiligtümer der Antike in Zypern. Das Heiligtum der Aphrodite, in dem außer einem aus der Osmanischen Zeit gut erhaltenen Fort nur noch ein paar Säulen und Mauerreste sowie einige Bodenmosaike aus den Villen erhalten geblieben sind, gehört seit 1980 zum Unesco Weltkulturerbe.

Close to the famous rock of Aphrodite, in the small village of Kouklia is one of the most important sanctuaries of ancient Cyprus. The sanctuary of Aphrodite, where only a few columns and wall remains as well as some ground mosaics from the villas have been preserved apart from a well preserved fort from the Ottoman period, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980.

...und langsam wird es Zeit sich für dieses Mal von der wunderschönen Insel zu verabschieden, die Sonne beginnt zu sinken, Zeit ein letztes Bier zu trinken bevor um 23:30 Uhr der Flug zur nächsten Baustelle geht.
