12:00 mittags im November auf Zypern und was für eine herrliche Sicht über das Felsplateau und das östliche Mittelmeer auf den Horizont und die Mittagssonne, die am absolut wolkenfreien Himmel nun wieder zu sinken beginnt. Was für ein Geschenk, wenn in Deutschland schon wieder alles nach den Wolldecken sucht die Heizung seit fast einem Monat läuft und alles wieder grau in grau ist.
Das Felsplateau befindet sich am "Kap Greco" hinter der Touristen Hochburg Agia Napa auf einem Wanderweg welcher 2 Km lang ist und bei den Einheimischen der Pfad der Liebenden genannt wird. Er gehört ebenfalls zu der Route welche mit der im letzten Post erwähnten Göttin der griechischen Mythologie zu tun hat. Die Dame hört auf den Namen Aphrodite, ist bekannt als die Göttin der Liebe und soll der antiken Sage zufolge hier in Zypern dem Meer am berühmten Felsen entstiegen (also geboren worden) sein.
High noon in November on Cyprus and what a wonderful view over the rocky plateau and the eastern Mediterranean to the Horizon and the midday sun which now begins to sink again in the absolutely cloudless sky. What a gift when in Germany everybody is looking for the blankets again, the heating has been running for almost a month and everything is grey in grey again.
The rocky plateau is located at the "Cape Greco" behind the tourist area Agia Napa on a footpath which is 2 km long and is called by the locals the path of the lovers.
It also belongs to the route which has to do with the goddess of Greek mythology mentioned in my last post.
The lady listens to the well-known name Aphrodite, she is known as the goddess of love.
According to ancient legend, she was born here in Cyprus in the floods nearby the famous rock.
Und nun wieder zu dem berühmten "Felsen der Aphrodite" den ihr ja im letzten Post nicht selbst gesehen habt, weil von dort die Aufnahme zur gegenüberliegenden linke Seite der Bucht gemacht wurde. Da ich euch die Bilder nicht vorenthalten möchte also hier nun auch die Ansicht, die etwas häufiger auf Urlaubsfotos zu sehen ist.
Zuerst einmal ein Foto vom Zugang zum Strand rund um den Felsen der Göttin der Liebe.
Wo wie schon geschrieben sehr oft Filmteams zu Gast sind um Werbeclips und Mode Aufnahmen zu machen. Und wenn man den Zyprioten glauben mag bringt einem das dreimalige umrunden des sagenumwobenen Felsens ewiges Liebesglück für die Beziehung.
Demnach wäre dies der richtige Ort nicht nur für schöne Stunden einer Hochzeitsreise, sondern auch für eine Paartherapie.
Beides könnte man wohl nur in der Karibik übertrumpfen wobei dort sowohl das Preisniveau etwas anders ist und der mystische Felsen für das ewige Liebesglück fehlt.
Und dann... ein Bild direkt vom feinsandigen Strand aus aufgenommen.
And now back to the famous "Rock of Aphrodite" which you did not see in the last post because from there the picture was taken to the opposite left side of the bay. Since I don't want to hide the pictures from you, here is the view that can be seen more often on vacation photos.

And if you believe in the Cypriots, the three times walking around the legendary rock brings everlasting love for your relationship.

Both could probably only be surpassed in the Caribbean, where both the price level is somewhat different and the mystical rock for the eternal love is missing.
