I'm back with part 6 of my photo series taken at the Astra Museum situated in Sibiu, Romania.
There was a section with chariots and belongings, all made of wood and handmade. Back in the day these were the only transportation vehicles and there were no roads like now, so these wheels had to be strong.
Another chariot made of wood. I tried one once but believe me, it's not very comfortable, especially if the road is bumpy.
A wheelbarrow also made of wood. Looks very small though.
This looks like a luxury vehicle for those times, must have been used for transporting people. It is restored and I found these colors a bit odd, I was wondering if this was the original look or someone got creative. I guess we will never know.
Here is another one, another style, not exactly luxury style.
Now try to imagine your life living like that. Forget about your fancy car and try to imagine driving one like this on bumpy roads, in mud, in snow or rain. Don't worry, you can't get a flat tire with these but if you broke wheel ... better not.
This is all for today, stay tuned for the next part.
