¡Hola a todos! Me presento me llamo Melissa Torrealba, y aunque Nací en Valencia Venezuela un 9 de agosto del año chupuplun, en realidad me siento Guacareña, que es pueblo donde he vivido casi toda mi vida, y en el que tengo todos mis apegos y mejores recuerdos. Mi primo Jesús Tortolero (@yisusth) me invito a unirme a la Blockchain de Hive. Me inicié participando en el concurso de música de la comunidad de #Vibes. Desde niña he sabido que la música me acompañaría desde siempre, porque ha sido para mí como una necesidad fisiológica, la mejor manera que tengo para poder expresarme, por tal motivo he buscado la forma de aprender acompañar mi voz a través de una guitarra o un cuatro venezolano, estudiando ya sea en un instituto o de manera empírica, aunque realicé estudios de teoría y solfeo, técnica vocal, cuatro y guitarra en la escuela de Música de mi pueblo (cosa que constantemente tengo que estar repasando porque desde siempre he tenido problemas con mi concentración que afecta mi memoria, soy despistada, yo creo que es posible que sufra de déficit de atención 🙉🙊🙈)

Hello everyone! I introduce myself, my name is Melissa Torrealba, and although I was born in Valencia, Venezuela on August 9 of the year Chupuplun, I actually feel like Guacareña, which is the town where I have lived almost all my life, and where I have all my attachments and best memories. My cousin Jesús Tortolero (@yisusth) invited me to join the Hive Blockchain. I started by participating in the #Vibes community music contest. Since I was a child I have known that music would always accompany me, because it has been me like a physiological need, the best way I have to express myself, for this reason, I have looked for a way to learn to accompany my voice through a guitar or a Venezuelan cuatro, studying either in an institute or empirically, although I studied theory and music theory, vocal technique, cuatro, and guitar at the Music school in my town (something that I constantly have to be reviewing because I have always had problems With my concentration that affects my memory, I am absent-minded, I think I may suffer from attention deficit 🙉🙊🙈)

Posteriormente, decidí aprender a tocar percusión, el cual hice de manera autodidacta (aquí me he sentido más libre porque no tengo que estar recordando nada, simplemente me dejó llevar por el Ritmo) siento que cuando quieres lograr algo aunque no tengas los recursos, con la fuerza de voluntad puedes llegar a alcanzar muchas cosas. Nunca me imagine que iba a llegar a ejecutar un instrumento de percusión de manera profesional, en realidad mi motor era simplemente aprender a tocar y tener una manera más de poder expresarme a través del ritmo, para mi sorpresa ha sido mi performance de cantante percusionista lo que más he podido ejecutar profesionalmente. Soy el único músico de mi núcleo familiar (Papá, mamá y hermanos) y la única que le apasiona el arte a unos niveles inexplicables, por tal motivo he sido incomprendida en casa, por eso el camino del aprendizaje ha sido bastante solitario, por mí misma he buscado la forma de aprender, puesto que no he tenido el apoyo familiar, que es tan importante para una persona que tiene cualidades artísticas, luchar contra el desánimo que implica la falta de acompañamiento de las personas más importantes para mí (papá, mamá y hermanos) ha sido mi día a día desde siempre.

Later, I decided to learn to play percussion, which I did self-taught (here I have felt freer because I don't have to remember anything, I just let myself be carried away by the Rhythm) I feel that when I want to achieve something even if you don't have the resources, with With willpower you can achieve many things. I never imagined that I would be able to play a percussion instrument professionally, in reality, my driving force was simply to learn to play and have another way to express myself through rhythm. To my surprise, my performance as a percussionist singer has been the best. that I have been able to perform most professionally. I am the only musician in my family (Dad, Mom, and siblings) and the only one who is passionate about art at inexplicable levels, for this reason, I have been misunderstood at home, and that is why the path of learning has been quite lonely, for me I have looked for a way to learn since I have not had family support, which is so important for a person who has artistic qualities, to fight against the discouragement that implies the lack of support from the most important people for me (dad, mom, and brothers) has been my daily life since always.

Esto ha implicado para mí una fuente constante de tristeza, tener que vivir con el desinterés de tus padres de lo que es importante para ti, no ha sido un tema sencillo de lidiar (ha sido desgastante emocionalmente) sin embargo, a pesar de eso, he intentado avanzar por mis propios medios, obviamente ha sido un proceso lento de mucho ensayo y error, puesto que me ha tocado derribar barreras yo sola, por tal motivo cada logro ha sido para mí una fuente de satisfacción muy grande, que hace que la tristeza dé a momentos desaparezca y entre en mi vida momentos de alegría. Intentando mantener contentos a mis padres decidí estudiar Administración, soy Técnico Medio y Técnico Superior Universitario en Administración, la carrera universitaria no la termine, ejercí en distintas empresas, y en distintos departamentos del área administrativa y financiera, pero durante todo ese periodo anhelaba hacer música (nunca es fácil dejar al amor de tu vida, así que empecé a verlo de nuevo esporádicamente, je je me refiero a la música) hasta que empezaron a llegar oportunidades en la música, primeramente como cantante, luego como percusionista y luego como ambas a la vez.

This has meant me a constant source of sadness, having to live with your parents' lack of interest in what is important to you, has not been an easy issue to deal with (it has been emotionally draining) however, despite that, I have tried to advance by my means it has been a slow process of a lot of trial and error, since I have had to break down barriers alone, for this reason, each achievement has been for me a source of great satisfaction, which makes the Let sadness disappear at moments and moments of joy enter my life. Trying to keep my parents happy, I decided to study Administration, I am a Middle Technician and a Higher University Technician in Administration, I did not finish my university degree, I worked in different companies, and different departments of the administrative and financial area, but throughout that period I longed to make music (it's never easy to leave the love of your life, so I started seeing him again sporadically, haha I mean music) until opportunities in music began to come, first as a singer, then as a percussionist and then as both the time.

Hoy por hoy he estado en varias agrupaciones de distintos géneros musicales, latinos, americanos, folklóricos, porque nunca me ha gustado encasillarme en un solo género. He sufrido altas y bajas, muy normal en la carrera artística, y más si vives en un país donde actualmente prácticamente no existe la industria musical. Pero cuando haces lo que amas hacer, los malos momentos pasan desapercibidos, en realidad desaparecen del todo cuando llegan los buenos momentos.

Today I have been in several groups of different musical genres, Latin, American, and folkloric because I have never liked to pigeonhole myself into a single genre. I have suffered ups and downs, very normal in an artistic career, and even more so if you live in a country where the music industry currently practically does not exist. But when you do what you love to do, the bad times go unnoticed, they disappear altogether when the good times come.

¡Epa! casi se me olvida, a la par con la música, practique varios deportes; ajedrez, voleybol y baloncesto, es este último fui selección de mi estado, debido a eso, me ofrecieron una beca escolar, la cual no acepte porque el colegio donde estaba era bueno y también me ofrecieron enviarme a estudiar Educación física a Cuba, pero justo en ese momento aún no era bachiller y en realidad no era eso a lo que me quería dedicar en el futuro, el deporte solo fue una etapa, lo deje a un lado por lo que realmente me apasionaba 🎵🎶... Otra cosa que me encanta es la Fotografía, es otro medio en el que he podido expresarme y ser creativa, yo creo que en resumen amo todo lo que tenga que ver con la expresión del arte. Esta es una forma de expresión que me encanta, es un medio para capturar y compartir momentos y experiencias maravillosas, y una herramienta para documentar mis vivencias, mi mundo y mi sentir.

Hey! I almost forgot, along with music, I practiced various sports; chess, volleyball, and basketball, the latter was my state selection, because of that, they offered me a school scholarship, which I did not accept because the school where I was was good and they also offered to send me to study Physical Education in Cuba, but just At that time I was not yet a high school graduate and in reality that was not what I wanted to dedicate myself to in the future, sport was just a stage, I put it aside for what I was passionate about 🎵🎶... Another thing that I love is Photography, it is another medium in which I have been able to express myself and be creative, I think that in short, I love everything that has to do with the expression of art. This is a form of expression that I love, it is a means to capture and share wonderful moments and experiences, and a tool to document my experiences, my world, and my feelings.
