What is the most important thing a parent need to teach his child so he/she will live a happy life?

To answer this question first one has to define what a ‘happy life’ really is.

Is it a successful life with a career, lots of money and a lot of possessions? It might help and it is of course very important that the basic requirements to survive are met in order to be happy. It’s very difficult to be happy when you’re really hungry.

Or is it a life in which one reaches ones full potential as a human being?

To be able to be oneself and to thrive are for me the most important prerequisites to live a happy life.

The little sapling that you see in this picture did not survive. It never had the opportunity to thrive because the richt circumstances were not there.

Every creature on this planet has the potential to thrive. It’s part of life itself. The main reason why a lot of people are not happy is that they are not able or capable to do so.

But it’s impossible to teach a child how to thrive. As a parent one has to create the right environment for the child so that it can thrive.

In order for a child to thrive it needs to feel loved and protected. It also needs the freedom to explore the world and to express itself.

Of course the basic skills to survive in later life need to be taught. Education is therefore important. Unfortunately a lot of parents put their children into these indoctrination centres called schools. Schools will take away most of these freedoms to express oneself and to be truly creative. It forces children to conform to a sick and corrupted society in order to pay as much taxes as possible to fill the coffers of the banksters and the so called ‘elite’.

I’m not a parent and changes are that I never will be. But when I look back at my own life, I can tell you that it was school that made me seriously unhappy. My parents were very loving and they meant well. They simply did what most people did. Luckily more and more people are choosing alternatives nowadays like home-schooling.

Another thing that’s important to thrive and to be happy is to love oneself. Again this can not be taught. One can only love oneself if one feels loved. It’s the unconditional love from a parent that can develop the love for oneself in a child.

Self confidence and being able to stand up for oneself is also important to be able to thrive. Again this can not be taught. To become more confident, sufficient freedom is needed for a child to make mistakes and to learn from them without ridicule or punishment.

So for me it’s all about creating the right circumstances for the child in order to become happy. Within these circumstances the child has the opportunity to thrive and learn the important things about life to live a happy life. And within these circumstances unconditional love from a parent is the most important one.

Much love,
