"In My Life" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, released on December 3, 1965. It is featured on their studio album Rubber Soul, released on the same date. John Lennon wrote the lyrics, but he and Paul McCartney had a disagreement over who wrote the melody, so "In My Life" is one of the songs where there was a disagreement over the primary author. The origin story of "In My Life" is very interesting. According to John Lennon, it was arose from a question asked by a journalist: Why don't you write songs about your life? This was a question that inspired John Lennon and he decided to write about his life. The lyrics mention specific memories of John Lennon's life before the Beatles. "In My Life" is one of the greatest songs of all time, and I think it's also one of the Beatles' best songs. I think if I were to rank the Beatles' songs, it would definitely be in the top 10. Plus, "In My Life" inspired pop music producers to use harpsichords in their arrangements. Additionally, "In My Life" has been covered by many artists, including Metallica and Ed Sheeran. It's amazing that even though it's a song that's almost 60 years old, I still hear it in some places, which shows what a great work it is.
