This week I'm weeding the endless weeds - elder seedlings are defiantly growing everywhere, and the paths are full of chickweed, clover, and other native grasses. I pull them up and throw them all in the chook pen - nothing survives in there. I'd like to make some political joke about current events but that doesn't get me anywhere.

The irises are falling over in the wind. Every spring this happens. They hold their buds, flower - and then boom, the wind comes, like they willed it so. I'd like to take more photos but all I get is blur.

The birds sing like mad this time of year - they are my garden song, a top hit of the backyard. The ravens croak that they're around, warning me to scare them away from the eggs. The wrens are flitting about everywhere and the most beautiful songbird here, the grey shrike thrush, echoes off the garden shed as it's learnt to project it's voice. Sometimes they fly into the shed, hit Jamie, and get a fright before flying off.

Most of the time I don't play music in the garden, because the sound of nature is enough. That doesn't stop the soundtrack in my head, though. Today's song is Jen Cloher, an Australian artist. I don't generally listen to her but the lyrics to this one really got me this week as I refresh the news about Palestine and Israel.

'Truth is just a point of view'. Aint THAT the truth. Everyone's in their bubbles and it's impossible to find out what is really going on.

As this post morphs from a #creativegarden entry (this week it's about 'garden songs', to a #threetunetuesday, the songs in the garden change as I put on the last Dubmatix radio show. This Canadian DJ has been doing this for ten years - that's ten years of stuff we've been listening to. It's kinda sad but kudos to him for keeping us in fresh tunes for so long.
