It is undeniable that even when we come to Hive every day and follow people we think would bring us information, chances are, we still miss things. I don't know about you but that's at least true in my case. For that reason, I thought of highlighting and sharing some of the things that I've read and learned that you may have not come across yet. Please read on...
▶️ HoloZing Project
If you are following Acid, you may have already read the introduction to his passion project, HoloZing. It is a roleplaying adventure game being developed or built here on the Hive blockchain. According to its Whitepaper, "HoloZing is a collectible-based game with a sense of accomplishment, competitiveness, smart incentives and an ever-growing and evolving ecosystem that allows for cross-compatibility of in-game assets."¹
Accordingly, the HoloZing team is working hard to build a truly decentralized gaming where everyone participating shares the value generated. While I am not a gamer, the thoughts behind the project appeal to me so in support, I sent some HP delegation to @zingtoken as soon as I read the project introduction 6 days ago.
The game has its own token (ZING) and there were no presales, no founder’s shares, venture capital, no angel investors etcetera. They want the distribution fair for everyone.
How to get it?
✅ If you hold POSH tokens in your HE wallet, you will already be eligible to receive staked $ZING and you can claim it by going and logging in to the HoloZing site. Rewards are automatically staked so as you earn $ZING from your POSH holdings, you also earn staking rewards.
✅ Another way to get $ZING is by delegating HP to @zingtoken. $ZING rewards are claimable every hour.
Per the roadmap, the game's pre-alpha phase has been completed (3D Battle prototype, Website, Token creation, Starter creatures artwork, Game logic). ▶️ DHF Proposal by VSC to Bring Smart Contracts to Hive
If you are like me who isn't constantly checking the Hive Proposals page, you may have missed this too. Although I heard about this in passing (mentioned by TM) some time ago but I didn't have a chance to check it out until last night while listening to the Blockchain Rally Car Space where it was mentioned. VSC network is a project by @vaultec
VSC aims to provide a universal, composable, and modular layer for DAPPs to customize, create and reuse smart contracts. With the advent of VSC, we could bring HIVE into a flourishing ecosystem of long term builders and growth. ²
Per VSC, they are going to bring the following to the Hive ecosystem:
I am not a technical person so I absolutely have no idea how these things can be achieved or done, but I think VSC is working on toward Hive's growth and expansion, not only within the blockchain, but offchain too..
It was mentioned in their proposal that they are going to be publishing content in the following months to explain more about what they are building and how it will benefit Hive.
I would recommend reading their proposal about what they are working on and the initial draft as well. And of course, vote and support it if you believe their work is beneficial to the blockchain and to us (users).
From my understanding, the initial proposal is meant for the continuous building of the Testnet for Bitcoin wrapping which is said to be launched in 3-4 months.
▶️ Hive Community on Zealy
I know, I know... this has been shared a couple of times already in my previous posts but I thought it is still necessary to keep sharing about it.
After listening to Lordbutterfly's appeal last night of the marketing initiatives for Hive and encouraging everyone to help in their own way, I cannot help but share about the ongoing outreach campaign on Zealy initiated by InLeo.
If you are not keen on competing or racing toward the prize pool, you can still participate and do certain tasks at your own pace - such as liking or retweeting X posts related to Hive. That is still helping. You can also give feedback or suggestions on how things can be improved. As TM said, everyone's contribution is needed.

Personal Thoughts
I think it is good to know the major things that are happening here on Hive and to be involved. Why? Because as Crimsonclad said, we are co-owners of the blockchain. Its growth and progress are to our benefit too.
