Vendor Review Contest Wrapup - Three Submissions and Three Winners!

Two weeks ago I announced a contest for choosing a vendor on Homesteaders Co-op and reviewing that vendor. The contest deadline has past and now its time to announce winners! The original contest post can be found here.

We had three entries into the contest!

We had 15 steem set aside to reward the winners with shares of SBI - 10 shares of SBI for up to the top 10 entrants and 5 shares of SBI for the winner of the contest. Given that we have three entries and we have 15 steem - I'd love to share it equally with all three of you @allyinspirit, @hippie-witha-gun and @porters!!!

Today each of you are winners of 5 steem and I realized, why not give you the option if you would like 5 SBI or 5 steem sent to your wallet. Let me know in the comments and you will receive your reward!

Thank you so much for participating in this contest and thank you for helping us in our goal of letting others know about the amazing vendors of Homesteaders Co-op offering handmade goods for steem, sbd and usd.

Read on for highlights from each review... and at the bottom of this post you will find a link to our other ongoing contest that you still have time to enter!

Contest: Find and Review a Homesteader's Shop. Homegrown and Handmade Dried Flower Arrangements by Idyllwild.

by @allyinspirit

I am biased in appreciating this review because it is highlighting Idyllwild's dried flower arrangement store. Bias or not, @allyinspirit put a lot of effort in researching this review, going through many past posts and digging up quotes and photos, and wrote an impressive review not only of Idyllwild but also a review of Homesteaders Co-op - its like two reviews in one! Well done @allyinspirit.

Excerpt from the review:

Flower Wreaths.

Idyllwild learned how to make flower wreaths when she lived at Camp Joy Gardens.

All the flowers and plants in the wreaths displayed on her Homesteaders Co-op page are grown on the homestead. After being harvested and dried in bunches, the dried flowers, pods and branches are laid out in the living area where each unique arrangement is created with love.

Dried flower wreaths will last for many years when hung in a sheltered area. The colors may fade slightly but this subtlety of colour will only add to its natural charm.

Sunburst.

A unique dried flower wreath in vibrant tones of orange and yellow with radiating sprays of flax. The wreath measures 15 x 15 inches and is composed of dried orange, yellow, and pink zinnia flowers, dried flax, dried tansy and dried centaurea flowers. An image of the sun comes to mind. ~Idyllwild: Sunburst floral wreath.

UNBOXING; Rainbow Hair Scrunchie from the Pepper Family.

by @hippie-witha-gun

This review was about @papa-pepper family homestead and a handmade rainbow scrunchie that was ordered through Homesteaders Co-op. @hippie-witha-gun was extremely excited to receive the scrunchie and support a steem friend with his purchase! He showed us not only the product he received but also the gifts that @papa-pepper generously shared with his steem friend. Thanks so much @hippie-witha-gun for supporting @papa-pepper and shopping on Homesteaders Co-op and offering your unboxing for others to share in your excitement :)

Excerpt from the review:

Not only do I have the coolest Rainbow Hair Scrunchie now to wear along with the rest of my rainbow outfit, but the best part is I am supporting the Pepper Family and their homestead. What is even better is the fact that I was able to purchase the scrunchie using Steem. Keep it local! So in the end it really didn't cost me anything but the time it took for me to accumulate the Steem I needed to make this purchase. How cool is that!?

Every time you purchase an item on the @homesteaderscoop, you support that farm/homestead/family helping them thrive. Whether that be seeds to plant your own garden, or this totally awesome handmade Rainbow Hair Scrunchie. These families cannot grow without YOU! So consider supporting one of these families today by checking out the @homesteaderscoop. Better yet, do you live on a farm? Are you and arts and crafter? If so you too could one day be apart of the @homesteaderscoop selling your handmade items as well.

Big Shout Out to Homesteaders Coop - an Ethical, Free Marketplace and To It's Vendors...

by @porters

Porters did something really creative here. She combined her review of two of our vendors with flipbooks she has been making to highlight their store and products in a new format.

In her review she includes a dtube video that demonstrates the flipbooks that she is working on. She also includes links to the flipbooks at the end of her review.

Check out the video and full review.

@porters chose to review @mountainjewel and @ofsedgeandsalt:

Reviewing @Mountainjewel

She had been blogging about making tinctures
