Hello my great hive family, on this beautiful day I want to share with you, International Chocolate Day and the benefits that it brings us.
It should be noted that International Chocolate Day is celebrated every September 13, a date to celebrate this sweet made from the cocoa bean, a high-quality crop in our country.
Currently in Venezuela, chocolate plays a fundamental role in the country's economy because Nestlé is one of the largest companies here and where thousands of chocolate are manufactured, this cocoa is transported from Sucre, to then be unloaded at Nestlé located in Maracay, in this image you can see an image where a friend of mine works as a cocoa transporter in this company.
Consuming chocolate has certain health benefits and we detail them below.
• It is beneficial for the heart: it reduces the risk of suffering from atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia, according to a study carried out by Harvard University.
• Relieves stress and improves mood: generates an increase in dopamine, known as the 'happiness hormone', helping to provide emotional well-being.
• It contains antioxidants and monounsaturated fatty acids that protect our cells from damage caused by free radicals, unstable oxygen molecules that are considered responsible for aging and many diseases. In addition, flavonoids help prevent heart disease by preventing congestion of the arteries and preventing strokes.
• Reduces the risk of stroke.
Eating a moderate portion of chocolate a day will improve the blood flow that reaches our brain, therefore it will improve the blood flow to our retinas, and as a consequence, it will improve our vision.
• Chocolate contains a multitude of nutrients such as manganese, copper, iron, and fiber. In addition, monounsaturated and saturated fats and stimulating properties thanks to its contribution of caffeine and theobromine.
Nutritionists recommend consuming a daily cup of pure unocacao in liquid form, either dissolved in milk or water, as well as using it in juices, cereals or desserts to maintain good health.
I take this opportunity to congratulate my friend César Suniaga, who is a Venezuelan entrepreneur who is dedicated to the production of various products derived from cocoa, such as chocolate cakes, cocoa balls, chocolates, among others. Here I leave you the name of his business and images of the varieties he makes.
This was a day that we shared with his son who was promoted to first year and he made him all these sweets, God bless your hands friend.
