Jane sat on her bed, flipping through her old photo album. The pages were filled with memories of her high school days, the good and the bad. She smiled as she came across a picture of her and her best friend, Lily, at their graduation ceremony.
'Remember when we used to dream about our future?' Jane said, looking up at Lily who was sitting next to her.
Lily chuckled, 'Of course, how could I forget? We were so naive back then.'
They both laughed and continued to reminisce about their high school highlights. From the school plays they starred in, to the prom they attended together, every memory was special and held a special place in their hearts.
As they turned to the last page of the album, Jane's smile faded. There was a photo of her and her ex-boyfriend, Mark, at their senior prom. She quickly turned the page, not wanting to dwell on the painful memories.
'What about you, Lily? What was your high school highlight?' Jane asked, trying to change the subject.
Lily's expression turned serious, 'To be honest, my highlight was meeting you. You were the best thing that happened to me in high school.'
