I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay. There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here mainly because I find them an interesting way to look back at the past.
I don't know a whole lot about the ultimate origins of this batch of slides other than they came from Goodwill. Like previous batches, these too often have a date stamped on them that I assume indicates when the film was developed and should in most cases give approximate dating for the photograph itself. So far these photos seem to mostly come from a European (or at least France and Italy)vacation, at least from the photos I've been able to identify so far.
The first photo was processed in September 1966. With the help of Google's image search and Google Translate I was able to find a very similar photo also from 1966 that labeled this as a bus stop in Mexico City. See https://twitter.com/AndresGuzBJ/status/1224506881944838146
Apparently it is a parking lot now.
The second photo was processed in August 1966 and appears to show a wedding procession. While there is nothing to immediately identify where this is, I suspect that it was also taken in Mexico.
The third photo was processed in June 1966. It shows a river but I have no real idea where this is. My bets guess would be Mexico again but that's purely a guess.
The last photo was processed in August 1966. It was taken along a beach somewhere but again I can only guess that this one was also taken in Mexico.
