As I write this post, it is just after midnight in the Inland Northwest, so happy Mother's Day! The bauble pictured here is my creation for my mother. I also bought ingredients for supper tonight. I think the latter might be more appreciated, to be honest.

I had the proper findings in my jewelry-making collection, but the puzzle piece is a creation from testing some library art supplies a couple months ago. We have silicone molds and UV-hardening resin. The puzzle piece seemed the perfect test piece. I layered resin and glitter a few times to make it a bit more interesting, but that doesn't come across well in this picture.
In related library business, I have survived the Boba Tea Party of DOOOOOM!!!

Strawberry-syrup DOOOOOM!!! Yes, that is a stock image. I was too busy to snap any cell phone pictures. We had commercial brown sugar boba tea mix, crushed ice, milk, almond milk, matcha powder, black tea, and earl grey tea plus strawberry, mango, and caramel syrups. There were proper cups, lids, and straws, too.
I had no experience making this beverage until that day. I hadn't ever tried it, either. It went better than I expected, all things considered. I also handed out a recipe for homemade tapioca pearls and boba tea. He also has a wonderfully informative but (to my mind) somewhat annoying video there. At any rate, despite the gray and cold and rain, or perhaps because of it, we had a good turnout for tea and games at the library.
Alas, one of my usual patrons, Mrs. W., could not attend, She had to pop in early to grab some books for a family outing into the depths of that depraved city of nightmares: SPOKANE. Fortunately, her girls have good taste, and are working their way through Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. She didn't sound too enthusiastic about this expedition. But it was a Mother's Day expedition, so she was going along with it.
Well, I need to try to kick insomnia to the curb and call it a night now. More pointless nonsense will have to wait for another post.
