I Made Egyptian-Themed Jewelry!

Well, one of my game groups got an early start on Secret Santa assignments for Christmas due to some members heading off to college soon. My victim gift recipient is enamored with all things Ancient Egypt. Nothing says "Christmas" like cultural appropriation from a dead society using made-in-China findings, right?

I ordered a variety of mystical pendants and tried several variations of elements before settling on this simple necklace and earrings set. An ankh necklace was always my intent, but I just wasn't happy with how the other pendants looked, so I downsized it to just a few beads for embellishment. Then I used the smaller round pendants engraved with the Eye of Horus as earrings with a similar beading embellishment.

I formed eyes in short lengths of silvery wire, strung a small spacer bead, a green glass bead, and another spacer before locking everything in place with another eye. Small jump rings connect everything together, and a fine chain with a clasp completes the necklace while some simple "fish hook" earring wires complete the earring pair.

As far as I know, the recipient does not read my blog. If she does, though... surprise? May your sins weigh less than a feather, or something.
