Life is full of surprises, a journey that needs to be treasured every day. Every single moment in our life create pieces of memories that will shape and make up our existence here on earth.
I am Rexon B. Amamag-id, a Filipino citizen, single and presently residing in Sacsac, Dalaguete, Cebu. A graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Technology Home Economics-Business Technology. A graduate of Master of Arts in Education major in Administration and Supervision. Presently connected to Dalaguete National High School, Dalaguete, Cebu since 2007.
I have a personal website before but it is just a free one and I don't have the full access and it has some limitations. One of my colleague, @gohenry had introduced me the Hive as one of the platforms for blogging. I find it interesting wherein I can post blogs about my likes and experiences.
BEING A TEACHER
Being a teacher is not an easy task, it takes a lot of hard work, patience and perseverance for you to deliver the best quality education to the learners. Right now, I am handling Research subjects in the Senior High School. I need to upgrade personally and professionally my knowledge and skills about research for me to deliver and give the necessary competencies to my learners for them to become research-oriented and research-driven individual. At this time of pandemic, it is even more difficult on my part and on the part of the leaners on how they will love and learn research despite of the pandemic. But we will not allow any pandemic to hinder the education of the learners.
We adopted a learning delivery modality that would cater the needs of every learner, and one of these is the use of Modular Distance Learning. In this manner, students can continue learning in their homes at the same time safeguarding their safety. Open communications with the use of various platforms are also utilized like facebook group, messenger and group chat. Here, students can ask questions for clarifications of the activities in the modules and home tasks.
I am also one of the Master Teachers in our school. As master teacher, I am task to be the subject and grade level coordinator helping our school leader in improving instructions and performing ancillary works. As an instructional leader, it is my duty to lead and guide fellow teachers in improving their teaching, from lesson plans, learning resources and teaching strategies. Their lesson plans, learning modules and home tasks are being reviewed.
I also observe classes and provide technical assistance to teachers for them to improve in their teaching career. Life being a teacher could be a stressful one yet rewarding seeing students learning and working with colleagues together in becoming the best teacher can be.
Aside from being a teacher, I am also a lover of plants and animals. In fact, I have several plants collected as a sort of stress reliever at home. Some of these plants are grown and propagated by me. Seeing them after work made me relaxed and re-energized. I also love taking pictures either plants, animals, sceneries and everything that would captivate my eyes and feel beauty in it. It will uplift my spirit and give me strength to face a new day which full of challenges and opportunities in life.
In every journey of my life, there are people whose always there for me. The support of my family whom I can rely on; my friends who are there for me; and most of all our Almighty Father who is the source of all, without him nothing is possible.
So, live each day as if it is the last. We will never know what’s life ahead of us. Each day is a storyline of a movie that we created entitled “Life.”
