The Loved House

Deep in the outskirts of a quaint little town, there stood a grand Victorian-style house that had been enveloped in mystery for years. Built with grand opulence and sheer pride, the towering structure boasted of intricate architectural details and an air of elegance.

Few years back, stories of how its previous owners had mysteriously disappeared, leaving the house abandoned filled the town. Some locals whispered that the owners were hypnotized to venture to a faraway land and never return by a strange occupant of that house.

But despite the rumors, a courageous couple, Jessie and Mikey, fell in love with the house and decided to acquire it. Unaware to them, deep within the house lives a supernatural secret.

All smiles and love, the young couple stepped foot inside the house for the first time, they were drawn by the beauty of an object in the hallway that led to the stairs upstairs.

Proudly displayed there was a magnificent, gigantic objet d'art. A doll-like figure that was meticulously carved with eerie precision. Its porcelain face held an uncanny resemblance to a haunting presence. It stood there like it was guarding the house against intruders.

Rumours in the town were that this figure would come to life only under the full moon, and bring terror to anyone who occupies the house.

Again like stubborn youngsters, the couple were undeterred by the ominous whispers. Jessie and Mikey were only blinded by the beauty of the house and without wasting time they settled into their new home.

One silent night, as the moon reached its fullest glow and as the couple slept soundly, unaware of the impending nightmare. Right in the dead of night, their peaceful slumber was shattered by a soft rustling sound that echoed through the corridors.

Their eyes fluttered open, and to their horror, there stood the doll-like figure at the edge of their bed. Its details had come to life and Its porcelain eyes flickered with a bright blue light. It had this chilly smile that etched on its face and a chilling voice which echoed from its small, carved mouth.

"Leave! I don't share. Leave!" It warned the couple to leave its house, its voice dripping with malice and despair before it collapsed to the ground still with the chilly smile which gradually turned to a spine freezing frown.

Terrified and paralyzed by fear but still determined to find a solution, the couple sought refuge in the nearby church the next morning. They told of their harrowing experience to the resident priest, with glimmering hopes for a solution. The aged priest listened intently, his wrinkling face etched with concern. And when they were done, he explained the dark history of the house.

According to the priest the objet d'art contained the spirit of the house's real owner, a gentle man who loved his home fiercely during his lifetime and even on to death. In death, his attachment to his beloved property became a curse that forever binds him to the house and to haunt on each full moon any occupant of the house. Sadly, the priest confessed that there was no known solution to break the curse. The only solution for the couple to escape the relentless torment was to vacate the premises.

Jessie and Mikey reluctantly contacted the estate in charge of the house, outlining their terrible ordeal. The estate miraculously sympathized with their predicament and agreed to repay their money, freeing them from the confines of the house's wicked curse.

The couple packed their possessions and bid farewell to the house that had promised them a new beginning.

As a result, the grand home remained a symbol of both appeal and fear, anxiously awaiting its next occupants, who would unknowingly enter a drama doomed to repeat itself under the watchful gaze of the full moon.
