Stuck drawer ~ 5 Minute Freewrite

5 Minute freewrite.png

Matt yanked at the stuck drawer. "Stupid, old desk drawers," he muttered under his breath.

He was in a hurry. It would only be a few minutes before his nosy cousin realized he wasn't in the room anymore and try to find him. Unfortunately, she when she would guess that he was in their Grandpa's study, she would be right. But it was for reasons she could never guess.

He had no interest in sorting out their Grandfather's will. Money or any of his personal belongings meant nothing. Well, if you didn't take into account the model ship he helped build when he was eight, or what he was looking for right now. But those really didn't count. It was nothing compared to the millions hidden away in a safe below the house anyway. His stupid cousin had no idea it was there. Actually, no one besides his dad knew it was there. And no one was going to find out.

He finally wiggled the wooden drawer free, and laying there just below a few old receipts, he found it. The pocket watch with a note attached in his Grandfather's writing.
