After last weekends fights where we saw George Groves win and advance in to the finals of the World Super Series of Boxings Super-middleweight tournament there had been much anticipation in seeing who his upcoming opponent would be.
This coming weekend there was a scheduled bout between Jürgen Brähmer vs Callum Smith, where Callum Smith was a favourite to win but it seems Jürgen Brähmer has pulled out due to illness.
With this announcement Jürgen Brähmer's replacement was also announced and it is none other than Nieky Holzken whose current boxing record stands at 13-0-0 with 10 TKO/KO's.

The boxing purists may not have heard of Nieky Holzken as he made his name in kickboxing where he has more than 100 fights, he really made a name for himself under the Glory banner where he was a dominant champion and reigned over Glory's welterweight division from August 7, 2015 up until October 21, 2016 where he eventually lost to Murthel Groenhart.

Nieky Holzsken is a massive underdog and rightly so, he may struggle to compete against the likes of Callum Smith and i expect Callum to easily make it to the finals but who doesn't like an underdog so i'm sure Nieky will have a lot of support.
