November Retrospective and December Plans

Here we are again! It's the evening of November 30th here on the western side of North America, but the UTC clock has already ticked over to December 1st a couple hours ago. Time for yet another celebration of Hive Power Up Day and a look back at what I accomplished.

October Retrospective and November Plans: last month's edition of this post.
Cold and Alone? More introspective and personal than I usually like to be.
Christian Music Hits Hard: links to music videos from bands you probably never heard of, in a genre most dismiss as bland and derivative.
Another Bloody Election Day: criticizing the core premises of modern democracies.
Debt, Investment, Savings, and Time Preference: an exploration of several principles of basic economics often overlooked or misunderstood by the general public.
Simple DIY Necklace: Jasper, Leather, & Silver: a how-to for anyone who might want to assemble a necklace.
LEO PUD & Buoy Beer: I added a beer review to my LEO PUD post.
The Wild West and the Library: a story from work and an author recommendation.
Free Speech Absolutism: a brief history of free speech violations in American history and a call to oppose all such trespasses.
Can You Play Portal on N64? Discussing a port of Portal to the Nintendo 64.
Attacks on Anonymity: if we have nothing to hide, why do authoritarians keep demanding we reveal everything to them for inspection and approval?
Borrowing From Other Games for Dungeons & Dragons: how I used components from another game to enhance a library D&D adventure.
An Analogy: trying to explore a contentious topic in current events by indirect means through a slightly-less-current event.
Why Hive? A rare (for me) puff piece about our platform and why it matters.
A Deficiency of Patriotism? Why do warmongers think our lives are theirs to spend, and why is dissent condemned as cowardice?
Another Perspective on Investment: looking at spending through a different lens.

16 posts in 30 days. Not too bad. I have too much going on offline to try to blog daily, but I think I wrote something worth reading when I did write. Your mileage may vary. Like my current profile bio says, I write whatever is on my mind, whether puerile or profound.

I have started getting more active in curation again, both upvotes and downvotes. I try to counter-upvote what I perceive as malicious downvoting, and downvote what appears to be vote-farming, plagiarism, or other forms of abuse. If I get something wrong either way, let me know in a timely fashion and I'll undo it.

I may yet manage 50K HP by year's end, so that's neat. Of course, I'll need to write more posts you think are worthy of your vote. Only time will tell how much I write and how the community responds. I might share more music links from one of the other odd genres I like, some more jewelry-making projects, library stories, and economics or politics rants. I also have a product review in mind, but this will take some time before I am ready to give my full impressions. Stay tuned! Or don't.
