June Retrospective and July Plans

Looking ahead and looking back.

Hive Power Up Day is here, so time for a look back at the past month, attempt to plan the next month, and ramble a bit. How did June compare to a month ago? I have vested 100 Hive into my Hive Power for Power Up Day. I'm not sure whether I plan to keep up with the Power Up Month campaign in July though. We'll see. I'm on the fence, partly because there is a decent chance I'll simply be away from the internet for a few days at some point. Crypto markets are still crazy, and I'm in HODL mode for now.

It looks like June saw 20 posts in 30 days as opposed to a mere 17 posts in the 31 days of May. Progress! It might have been more, but I have been struggling with how to tackle a contentious topic, and have been at a sort of impasse. I did manage to tell a few stories I hope were interesting, including tales of library trespass, a Dungeons & Dragons tale, and a minor after-work misadventure. I poked at the topics of misunderstood profit and inflation analysis, gun control and self control, education versus school, and an interesting conversation I found on transgender issues. I reviewed camp saws and finished my Iron Kingdoms: Requiem RPG review. I even managed a few photography posts.

I have spent more time trying to follow @lovesniper's intro post curation to manually upvote and reply more often and boost newcomers. I have issued a lot of 10 Hive Power delegations. I definitely need to work harder on following up and seeing what else these new users do.

Upcoming projects: some tips from a guest speaker's a library backpacking introduction, a deep dive into the American abortion debate, more conversation about US gun laws, and who knows what all else. We'll see. I need to work more behind the scenes on my post archive, too.
