The Mage - Relic Brewing Company

The Mage is a 8% American Double/Imperial IPA brewed by the Relic Brewing Company in Plainville, Connecticut. Brewed with Mosaic and Lupulin powder, the Mage has a piney yet fruity flavor and aroma. Relic Brewing Company is a small batch, craft brewer that focuses mostly on IPA style beers. The Mage was full of juicy flavor just like a typical New England Style IPA.

The Pour

As I poured the Mage into a glass I noticed the glowing orange color of the juicy beer. I can see where the name came from. It was a truly magical experience watching the glowing hue, it was like this stuff was brewed by a wizard. The Mage had a bit of a snap to it, but I liked it. After the initial bite it had a pineapple, mango, papaya flavor. It was certainly an enjoyable beer and I would love to get my hands on another batch some day.
