Blind Knife Fight - Relic Brewing Company

Blind Knife Fight is a 8% American Double/Imperial IPA brewed by the Relic Brewing Company in Plainville, Connecticut. Brewed with Equinox and Denali, the Blind Knife Fight has a tropical guava flavor with a light hazy, orange color. Relic Brewing Company is a small batch, craft brewer that focuses mostly on IPA style beers. The Blind Knife Fight had a fairly subtle aftertaste yet it packs a punch with the 8% alcohol content.

The Pour

As I poured the beer into my "Be Hoppy" glass I watched as it bubbled up. It clearly had good carbonation and left a solid quarter-inch head. It was fairly light in color yet had a bit of a haze to it. The name had me expecting a heavy hitting ultra hopped IPA, but the taste was not too strong at all, it was merely a flesh wound. The lack of bite could make this a dangerous drink... almost like getting yourself into a blind knife fight.
