The sasquatch is a cultural icon cryptid in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) and mountain west. Some people have signs, statues, or chainsaw-carved stumps depicting this bipedal mystery monster in their yards. It probably doesn't exist outside the collective imagination of enthusiasts, but it's still a popular marketing tool. No-Li Brewhouse is no exception.
I have previously mentioned another No-Li squatch beer, so when I saw a 19.2 oz. imperial pint can of this Imperial IPA, I wanted to give it a try. 9% ABV is pretty stout even for PNW breweries, although it's not unheard-of. Taste is malty, with only a hint of the hops I was expecting. It was not at all harsh as IPAs go at 45 IBU, and the 9% ABV was well-hidden. You can read more pompous-sounding reviews here. As for my take, it's pretty good, and I recommend it.
I'm writing this several days after drinking the beer, but it was game night, and that meant a trip to the grocery store deli for dinner. Chicken and a salad bar are pretty safe for dodging dairy. Life with food allergies makes dining on the go a bit of a gamble, but I can usually find options. Even potato chips need some scrutiny, though I always have to check the ingredients, because brands differ and sometimes recipes change without warning. It's tiring, but better than accidentally suffering hours of gastrointestinal upset.

I found a proper mug! Nice color and head.

A less-glamorous shot of dinner. The lighting was bad, and my smartphone flash did not help. Tasted OK, though.

Mug, can, and store-brand potato chips.
Game night turned out to be more of a get-together-with-friends-and-watch-comedy-specials-online-night. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Good food, good friends, and good beer are all simple pleasures we should savor.
