Nightly Doodling #15

My apologies for my absence Steemians!

Check out the previous doodle: Nightly Doodle #14

Hey there all! It's been a few days, my apologies for that one. I'm nearly done with a music project I'm working on, which took my time, aswell as I'm still on my regular job. But I'm coming in fresh with this new 'Nightly Doodle'! In my previous doodle I stated that I wanted to leave the concepts that I was working on, to bring in something new for these series. Well, here you have it:

I kept my usual doodling style; makes sense since these are my doodling series, right? But I used a different format. I happen to be a big fan of the rapper/MC going by the name of Logic. If you are interested in his music, then look him up, he has gained quite some recognition during the past few years. However, I usually don't make this type of 'Fan Art', because it's not really my thing. But ever since I made my younger sister a big fan of his music, she requested me to make her an artwork related to the rapper himself. And of course I agreed to make one for her ;). This was a perfect way for me to combine this concept with my doodling style and I must say, it looks awesome! I also made a little process coverage of it.

First Draft

I used the standard Logo/Lettering that the rapper uses himself as a draft and began to fill it up with my usual abstract shapes and figures. I took some time to figure out which would work best, since my work area was limited in between the boundaries of the letters and the silhouette.

I managed to fill up the whole thing and it already looked quite cool. What do you think?

Background

Even though I succeeded with the doodle, I figured that it would need some more emphasis and 'life', to really pop out some more, so I decided to make a background to do just that.

I had to use some masking tape to cover the illustrated parts in order to use graffiti spray paint to create a smooth background. I had to cut every line out, which is one of those time consuming aspects of projects like these. After that I used nothing more than a black and white spray can to paint the background to my likings.

End Result

After I had removed the remaining tape, I simply had to restores the outer lines to finish up the whole piece.

As Logic would say: Peace, Love and Positivity,

and also my usual phrase,

Steem On!
